Method:
Braise beef and onions. Add flour
and brown.
Put beef mixture in
steam-jacketed kettle.
Add tomatoes, spices, water. Let
simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
Serve on toast.
Notes:
Shortening may be omitted if ground beef
has sufficient fat.
